Great pickleball facilities
Whether you like indoor courts or outdoor fun, both are easy to find in Canton. Public courts are available at Kenney Askew Park and Veteran's Park, and the YMCA offers classes and open play with a membership — easy, accessible options for everyone.
Fun local events
Canton has all sorts of local events like First Friday and the weekly Farmers Market. It's such a great place to find something for date night or a family day on the town.
Great locally owned restaurants
Food is absolutely the way to my heart, and Canton does such a great job with locally owned spots that are delicious no matter what you order. My personal favorites are Downtown Kitchen and RCB, but whatever you're in the mood for, you'll find something memorable. See my restaurant picks →
Incredible coffee
Canton's coffee scene is the BEST. Between the unique creations at Bizarre Coffee and the classic flavors at Alma Coffee, you really can't go wrong no matter where you go. See my coffee guide →
Lakes and mountains, oh my!
There's just something special about the natural beauty around Canton. Quick access to Lake Lanier, Lake Allatoona, and Lake Arrowhead makes it the perfect place for boat and fishing lovers.
Fun day trips
Sometimes you just get the urge to get out of town, and one of the best things about Canton is how easy that is. An hour and a half to tubing down the river in Helen, a few hours to the beach at Hilton Head, or an hour to a cozy cabin in the woods — living here can feel like the ultimate dream.
Quick access to Atlanta
If you work in Atlanta but don't want to live in the city, Canton is one of the best suburban hubs. Housing is more affordable, you can find beautiful pieces of land to call your own, and you can still get to the city in under an hour (grab a Peach Pass to cut the commute even more).
Homes for every lifestyle
Whether you're looking for a classic neighborhood home or a farm with horse pasture, Canton has wonderful options for everyone.
Financial perks
Cherokee County offers some great tax exemptions — and they're particularly advantageous for seniors, who are exempt from the school-tax portion. And with more and more new construction and business coming to Canton, the local job market keeps growing right alongside the opportunities already in Atlanta.
